Գերմանիայում 2011-ից անց է կացվում ամենամյա միջազգային փառատոն-մրցույթ՝ նվիրված Կոմիտասին (կազմակերպիչ՝ Վ.Եկավյան, գեղ. ղեկավար՝ Կ.Գիլանյան): 2014-ից փառատոնի նշանաբան ընտրվեցին գերմանացի ու հայ ժողովուրդների երկու հատկանշական դեմքերի անունները՝ Բախի և Կոմիտասի: Առաջարկված այս անակնկալ զուգահեռը բացահայտեց զարմանալի նմանություն տարբեր դարաշրջաններում ապրած երկու ստեղծագործողների միջև: Every year, beginning 2011, international festival-contests devoted to Komitas are being held in Germany (organizer-V. Yekavyan; art manager–K. Gilanyan). In 2014 the names of J. S. Bach and Komitas, two of the foremost composers and musicians of Germany and Armenia were chosen as motto for all the future festivals.
