Abstract:

In April 2004, the co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group managed to initiate what has come to be known as the “Prague Process”. Along with the meetings between the Foreign Ministers o f Armenia and Azerbaijan, the "Prague Process" also provided a framework for the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents to hold several face to face conversations when both were attending international summit meetings. During this period, the Co-Chairs introduced a proposed set of Basic Principles for the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict to serve as the basis for the conclusion of an eventual peace agreement.
