Object structure

The article focuses on the ways of representation o f the concept "home/house" by lexical means in English and Armenian. Currently cognitive scientists discuss problems օf verbalization of concepts by lexemes (lexical concepts), compound nominations and phraseological units (phraseological concepts), block schemes (syntactic concepts) and morphemes (morphological concepts). The English and Armenian lexical representatives of the concept "home/house" are analyzed from an etymological point of view and according to the frequency of occurrence of these lexemes providing a basis for identifying the means of nomination of the concept.
