На разных этапах истории чужеземные силы не раз разрушали страну, но не могли подавить живой дух стремящегося к свободе армянского народа. Это и является основной идеей эпоса «Давид Сасунский», его сутью. At different stages of history foreign invaders more than once had ruined the country but they were not able to depress the living spirit of the Armenian people striving for liberty. This appears to be the main idea of the epic «David of Sassoun», its essence.
