 abstract={repositories of world culture house timeless treasures that have been the subject of study for centuries. Among these treasures is Manuscript No. 1278 of the Mesrop Mashtots Matenadaran. In this article, the author examines the manuscript’s place of origin, its script style, the scribe, and other related aspects. Some 400 years ago, in the Syunik region at Khotanan, Archimandrite Movses (later Catholicos Movses III of Tatev, 1629–1633) commissioned his close relative, the scribe Ghazar, to transcribe this work, which is in the nature of an exegesis. This article describes the journey of a manuscript that originated with Movses of Tatev and eventually found its home in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. Later, after being seized under certain circumstances, the manuscript was rescued, ransomed, and returned to Holy Etchmiadzin. The work is based on the connecting role played by Catholicos Movses of Tatev with his mentors and disciples. В хранилищах мировой культуры собраны непреходящие ценности подлежащие из века в века исследованиям. К этим ценностям принадлежит рукопись N 1278 Maтенадарана имени Месропа Маштоца. Автор обращается в статье к месту написания рукописи, к типу письма, к писцу и т. д. Еще 400 лет назад в Сюникской области в Хотанан архимандрит Мовсес (в дальнишем католикос Мовсес III Татеваци 1629—1633) поручил своему кровному родственнику писцу Лазару переписать это сочинение, имеющее характер толкования. В статье описан путь, который прошла рукопись с Мовсесом Татеваци и затем нашла свое место в святом первопрестольном монастире в Эчмиадзине. В последствие плененная однажды при неких обстоятельствах рукопись была спасена, выкуплена и вновь возвращена первопрестольный монастырь. В основу работы положена связующая деятельность католикоса Мовсеса Татеваци с его наставниками и учениками.},
