 abstract={Статья посвящена общественно-политической жизни армян Джавахка в период распада СССР. Особое внимание уделено национальному пробуждению, вопросам самоидентификации, стремлению к консолидации вокруг борьбы Арцаха за существование, оказанию помощи Арцаху, сохранению религиозного наследия и почитанию памяти жертв Геноцида армян. Одним из ключевых явлений этого периода стало народное движение «Джавахк», на фоне становления которого была основана одноимённая газета. Несмотря на нерегулярный выпуск, газета «Джавахк» представляет ценный источник для изучения политических настроений и общественной активности армян региона. Она позволяет по-новому оценить политику грузинского государства в отношении национальных меньшинств и местных инициатив. Цель исследования — реконструировать важнейшие эпизоды общественной и политической жизни Джавахка в условиях трансформации постсоветского пространства. Задача — выявить круг ключевых проблем, волнующих армян Джавахка, на основе анализа архивных материалов, публикаций и политической мысли местной армянской общины. Методология включает анализ первичных источников, экспертную оценку содержания, а также сопоставительный подход. This article explores the events that took place in Javakhk during the collapse of the Soviet Union, focusing particularly on the public and socio-political life of the local Armenian population. These developments were, to a great extent, a natural part of the broader processes of national awakening, the search for identity, the need to unite around the Artsakh struggle for survival, as well as efforts to support Artsakh, preserve and reopen churches, and commemorate the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.Among the organizations that emerged in Javakhk during this time, one of the most active was the “Javakhk” people’s movement, whose formation and early activities coincided with the foundation and initial efforts of the Javakhk newspaper. Despite its irregular publication, this monthly newspaper provides valuable insights into the socio-political life of Armenians in Javakhk, offering new perspectives on Georgia’s policies toward national minorities and indigenous peoples, as well as on various local developments and the activities of civic and political organizations in the region.The aim of the study is to present the key episodes of Javakhk’s socio-political life during the disintegration of the USSR, based on archival documents, literature, and other available materials, including the content of the first issue of the Javakhk newspaper.The study seeks to identify and articulate the major issues of concern for the Armenians of Javakhk by analyzing their socio-political thought. The research employs methods of archival analysis, content evaluation of primary publications, and interpretative comparison to derive necessary conclusions.},
