 abstract={Строительство армянских монастырей имело большой размах особенно в 11-14-ых веках. Современем многие монастыри дополнились новыми светскими и религиозными зданиями и стали большими духовными комплексами. В то же время эти монастыри были центрами науки и культуры, где была сосредоточена научная мысль и культурная жизнь. При упоминании некоторых монастырей средневековые письменные источники используют понятие майракахак (столица). В статье делается попытка интерпретации этого термина в связи с конкретными монастырскими комплексами. Construction of the Armenian monasteries took large scales especially during the 11-14th centuries. Over time many monasteries were replenished with new secular and religious buildings becoming complete and harmoniоus complexes. At the same time the monasteries were centers of science and culture, where the scientific thought and cultural vigor of the time was concentrated. For some of the monasteries medieval sources use also the term mayraqakhaq (capital). This report attempts at interpreting this term in their relation to certain monastic complexes.},
